When travelling to Napa and Sonoma wine country people often have one pre conception of wine tasting. Everything modern. A vineyard that goes for miles. And a fee for the same flight with the same controlled pours. The Castello di Armorosa is the opposite of that.
This winery is a literal Tuscan castle transported to Calistoga, complete with armaments, turrets, armour and cellars. The staff give tours of the castle and the use of it in Tuscany during the medieval period with the ending being in the cellar where the wine tasting occurs.
