I love to cook! My favorite part though isn’t so much the process itself but the reaction I receive when people taste my food. Maybe it’s the Japanese side coming out since the Japanese culture is all about hospitality. I mean Japan does have the most Michelin starred restaurants in the world. And watching the masters and learning their techniques are so much better than trying to figure it out myself. No need to reinvent the wheel, right?! My favorite chef is Grant Achatz from Chicago’s Alina’s, Next and the new Aviary. I must not be alone since he was just inducted into the Hall of Fame. But one chef I do love to learn from is Thomas Keller.
Chef Keller is owner of Bouchon, Bouchon Bakery, The French Laundry and Per Se. Look them up! Beautiful restaurants and amazing food. You can see why Michelin loves them too! But this chef knows how and teaches cooking. One of my favorite things Chef Keller cooks is his roasted chicken. So simple, healthy, fast, easy and comes out perfect every time that you'll ask yourself why you haven't been cooking chicken like this all along!

Growing up I was always taking care of the horses. Then when it came time to work I would go back and forth from horses to coffee in Seattle to food in California, bringing my horse and dog with me. After going to school specifically for publishing I decided to combine agriculture with food service and have been working to get the name of the great food artisans out to the foodies who adore them.
